Community Involvement:

• Community Partnerships:  ESD's GT program partners with community organizations to provide service opportunities. 

• Mentorships: Gifted adults from the community are invited to share their expertise as mentors to our students, fostering leadership and guidance skills. 

• Community Resources: Arkansas guidelines emphasize the importance of utilizing community resources, such as museums, libraries, and local businesses, to support gifted students. In 2024-2025, we took our GT students to the Vincent Van Gogh immersive experience in Little Rock, to the ballet at the University of Arkansas Pulaski Tech's Center for the Humanities, and to the fairy village in Garvin Woodland Gardens. The GT students studied civic and government issues by participating in the traveling briefcase.
